Equipment System

Onchain Equipment​

Protonaut Equipment is fully onchain, stored as SVG images that are dynamically applied to your Protonaut token when equipped. This means:

  • Each piece of equipment visually alters your Protonaut's appearance
  • The equipment is rendered directly on the Protonaut NFT
  • All visual assets are stored 100% onchain, ensuring permanence and true ownership

Equipment Stats​

Equipment shares the same stat system as Protonaut Tokens:

  • Each equipment piece has its own set of stats
  • When equipped, these stats complement your Protonaut's capabilities
  • Stats are stored onchain and can influence gameplay and interactions

Equipping and Unequipping​

Equipping Items​

To equip an item to your Protonaut, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the equipment section of your Protonaut's profile.
  2. Select the item you wish to equip from your inventory.
  3. Click the "Equip" button to attach the item to your Protonaut.
  4. Approve the transactions that present themselves. (don't worry about the cost at the moment this is all currently on testnet).
  5. If needed, refresh the page.

Unequipping Items​

To unequip an item from your Protonaut, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the equipment section of your Protonaut's profile.
  2. Select the item you wish to unequip from your currently equipped items.
  3. Click the "Unequip" button to remove the item from your Protonaut.
  4. Approve the transactions that present themselves.
  5. If needed, refresh the page

Equipping and unequipping items allows you to customize your Protonaut's appearance and abilities, enhancing your experience in the Protonaut universe.
